Romanian peasant icon painting on glass, mainly 19th century. Original title “Pictura Taraneasca Pe Sticla” 1975. Translated into English by Georgeta Ciocaltea from an unpublished manuscript. The authors toured the country interviewing those still working in the tradition. One hundred of the finest examples from museum collections are illustrated. Corning compared this volume to "Folk Glass Painting in Romania" q.v. and it is the same just by a different translator. - ISBN Number: 0814317111. Editions/printings: 1982.
