The author was a collector and dealer that probably had a great influence on paperweight history in Scotland and England. Perhaps because of the subject matter she has risen well to the challenge of squeezing the entire history of weights into one of the Miller beginner packages. This is the book on paperweights for the non-collector of paperweights who would like to discover what the phenomeno of paperweight collecting is all about. Reading this small volume and absorbing the images selected will leave the reader in no doubt and probably drawn to adding a weight or two to their collection.
