Abstract
Review by Frank Andrews:

I have had a dip into this and it also a good book, covering a much wider range of Czech Glass types than Newhall - "Sklo Union Art Before Industry". The text is well written, informative and compact. Each piece from the exhibition has it's own page, it is a great shame that I was unable to get to the exhibition itself. It makes one realise just how vast and rich the range of glass produced during the communist area actually was. Seeing the spectrum is a real eye-opener.

Volumes like this will clearly inspire many new collectors and initiate many more studies in coming years. Watching a new area of glass history unfold is very exciting for me.
